Trump cites Twitter's "Problems" and declares he will stick with his own platform.

Donald Trump responded to Elon Musk's poll on whether to reactivate the former president's account by saying he sees "a lot of problems at Twitter" and will stick to his own social media site.

I've heard there is a significant vote in favor of returning to Twitter. I don't see it because I don't see any justification for it, "Trump said via video link to the Republican Jewish Coalition gathering in Las Vegas. It might succeed, but it might not.

Trump claimed that Truth Social, the platform he created after Twitter Inc.'s former leadership barred him for his supporters' Jan. 6, 2021 invasion of the US Capitol, "has taken the place for a lot of people, and I don't see them getting back onto Twitter."

With just two hours left, the poll Musk initiated has generated about 14 million votes, with around 52% of respondents supporting Trump's reelection. Trump's account is not being decided, according to Musk on Friday. He has reactivated accounts linked to the satirical website Babylon Bee and the conservative media figure Jordan Peterson.

In 2021, Twitter permanently barred Trump "because to the potential of further inciting violence." Tuesday marked his official entry into the 2024 US presidential election.

Trump stated on Saturday that he approved of Musk's $44 billion acquisition of Twitter and that "I tend to appreciate characters." However, he asserted that Twitter has "awful" issues, such as false accounts and bad interactions.

Trump told the audience, "Truth Social has been very, very powerful, very, very strong, and I'll be remaining there."
